The New "Dirty Dozen" - Foods to Eat Organic!

Hello again,

I am back to blogging after a short summer break with my family.    We went on a summer vacation and my older son asked if I would be giving our family some of my typical life lectures.  I told him if I didn't love my family I wouldn't try to teach them valuable life lessons and that he could take my advice or leave it.  After all, parents are our kids first teachers.

Anyway, I am always teaching my family the benefits of eating right.  Eating organic fruits and vegetables means that you are avoiding toxic pesticides and chemical fertilizers, avoiding genetic modification and getting more nutrient dense food.  Remember, that our cells do not recognize chemicals for optimum health.  However, organic foods can cost more and my two oldest kids are in college and learning to live on a limited budget, like the rest of the world.  I try to help them decide when it is most important to buy organic and when you can save money.

I came across this report that was published by the Environmental Working Group on fruits and vegetables that ranked highest and lowest of pesticide residues.  Check it out ---
