You can make a difference for the Victims of Hurricane Irene!

In Galatians 6:2,  God tells us to "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

If you are interested in helping the Hurricane Irene Victims, but are not sure of a reputable nonprofit organization to partner with, then take a look at Shaklee Cares! (Just another reason I am so proud to be a part of the Shaklee family).

Shaklee Cares® Update - Hurricane Irene
Shaklee Cares is a publicly supported, nonprofit organization committed to helping people directly affected by natural disasters and emergencies. When a disaster strikes, Shaklee Cares reaches out to help communities in need by partnering with large relief organizations and smaller community organizations, such as churches. Shaklee family members volunteer their time to coordinate volunteers to assemble and distribute Shaklee Cares Product Relief Packs through a local nonprofit’s outreach effort.
Currently, Shaklee Cares is accepting donations to help those affected by the impact of Hurricane Irene. The outer bands of this massive storm have caused widespread flooding, power outages and damage throughout many of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern states. The full extent of damages are still being assessed, but there are widespread reports of damage due to flooding, fallen trees, and wind.
There are several ways that you can help:
  • Shaklee Members can call 1-800-SHAKLEE
  • Go to MyShaklee.com to purchase Shaklee Cares Relief Packs online. (Search “Shaklee Cares” in the search box to take you directly to the packs available for donation.) The packs are donated directly to Shaklee Cares inventory and you will receive a tax donation letter each year you make your donation.
  • Send a check or money order to:
Shaklee Cares, 4747 Willow Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588
  • Use PayPal to donate cash (visit ShakleeCares.org and click on the "Make a Donation" button).
100% of your cash or product pack donation goes to help someone in need and all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. And of course, an added benefit to donating to Shaklee Cares is the ability to earn 1 point toward trip qualification for each Shaklee Cares pack purchased, up to 10 points per year.
